Aerosound SF (Silent Flooring) underlay is an acoustic floor underlay designed for use in floating floor applications. It helps in reducing sound transmission levels in commercial and residential buildings, caused by walking, jumping, bouncing or pulling.
It is made using polyolefin foam, and features a cross-linked closed-cell structure. The construction of Aerosound SF Underlay contributes to its durability, which gives it tear and compression resistance. The structure also makes it water and moisture-resistant, helping to prevent the growth of bacteria, mould and fungi, and prolonging the product's life cycle. As it is lightweight, transportation and installation of the product is made easier for the installer.
Features of Aerosound SF
Reduces sound transmission across the lower floors of the building
Reduces structural noise and vibrations
Increased tear and compression resistance
Water, moisture and chemical-resistant
Odourless
Resistant to growth of bacteria, fungi and mould
Uses & Applications
Mainly used in floating floor configurations
Can be installed as a layer between the screed and construction structural concrete slab
Used as an underlay for carpets, timber wood and stone finishings
